Lamborghini produced the Murcielago from 2002 to 2010 with 4,099 Murcielagos being made. At the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini revealed the fastest version of the Murcielago, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, or Murcielago SV for short.. Only 350 Murcielago SVs were built. The only other Lamborghinis with SV versions were the Diablo and Muira.
I saw the Lamborghini Murcielago SV at the December 2010 Houston Cars and Coffee event. This was the same event where Hennessey revealed its Venom GT. There were a bunch of Lambos at the event, but the Murcielago stood out from the rest of Lambos there. The SV moniker on the rear side panels and the rear wing help the Murcielago stand out. This Lambo looks very aggressive and very fast.
The Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is powered by a 6.5L V12 engine, paired with a six-speed e-Gear transmission or an optional six-speed manual transmission, that produces 661 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. The Murcielago goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 213 mph with an optional small spoiler and 209 mph with the standard aeropack wing. Prices for the Murcielago SV start at $450,000. That is very expensive for a car. The Murcielago costs over $130,000 more than a Murcielago LP 640. But it is 2 mph faster and gets from 0 to 60 mph 0.2 seconds quicker than the Murcielago LP. The SV is also 220 lbs lighter than the standard Murcielago.
The Lamborghini Murcielago SV made a stop by Jay Leno's Garage. Top Gear's Richard Hammond reviewed the Murcielago SV during Series 13, Episode 2. The Murcielago SV is playable in Driver: San Francisco, Gran Turismo 5, Forza Motorsport 3, Car Town, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, and Carbon Auto Theft 2.
Final Thoughts: What a car! The Lamborghini Murcielago was already quick, fast, stunning car. The Murcielago SV is a Murcielago on steroids. The Murcielago SV is a faster, quicker, stunning, aggressive version of the Murcielago. The SV is just too expensive with a price starting at $450,000. It is not fast enough to be considered a hyper car and there are cars that can reach speeds over 220 mph and cost $50,000 less than the Murcielago SV. But the Murcielago SV looks better than those cars. If you want a fast, quick, stunning, eye-catching, aggressive supercar, go with the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, if you can afford it.

First Impression: Lamborghini Murcielargo
The Murcielago is a regular at Houston Cars and Coffee events. The Murcielago is one eye-catching Lambo. It does resemble its predecessor, the Lamborghini Diablo. An interesting design feature of the Murcielago are the rear air vents. They come out when the car is traveling at high speeds to deliver more air to the engine. The Murcielago looks fast, aggressive, and is an eye-catcher.
The Lamborghini Murcielago originally came with 6.2L V12 that produced 572 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 is powered by a 6.5L V12, paired with either a six-speed manual tranmission or an optional six-speed e-gear transmission, that produces 631 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque. The Murcielago LP 640 goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 211 mph. Prices for a new Murcielago Lp 640 started at $318,800. That is quite expensive for a car, but the Murcielago is fast, quick, and just stunning.
Top Gear featured the original Murcielago during Series 1, Episode 1. The Murcielago Roadster was reviewed by Top Gear during Series 6, Episode 11. The Murcielago LP 640 was reviewed by Top Gear during Series 9, Episode 5. A 2007 Murcielago Roadster made a stop by Jay Leno's Garage. Motorweek reviewed a 2003 Murcielago. The Murcielago is playable in the Forza games, Need For Speed Games, Ridge Racer games, Gran Turismo games, ModNation Racers, Asphalt games, Project Gotham Racing 4, Midnight Club games, and many other video games.
Final Thoughts: I loved the Lamborghini Countach. I loved the Lamborghini Diablo. And I love the Lamboghini Murcielago. This car is fast, quick, and stunning. But it costs over $300,000, which is quite expensive. No modern Ferrari can compete with the Murcielago and it is cheaper than a 599 GTO.

Classic Car: Lamborghini Diablo
One of my favorite cars growing up was the Lamborghini Diablo. I had a scale model of this car. Produced from 1990 to 2001, 2884 Diablos were made. One could get a Diablo coupe or a Diablo roadster with a carbon fiber targa top. There were five variants of the first generation Diablo: VT (viscous traction) which had all wheel drive, SE30 which was a lighter, more powerful than the standard Diablo, SE30 Jota which was a circuit ready version of the SE30, SV (super veloce) which was a more powerful version of the standard Diablo, and the VT Roadster. The second generation Diabo variants were the SV, VT, VT Roadster, GT, and VT 6.0. Then the Diablo first came out in 1991, it dethroned the Ferrari F40 as the world's fastest production car, reaching a speed of 207 mph. It reign as the speed king was short lived because later in 1991, the Bugatti EB110 was released and it reached a top speed of 213 mph.
I saw a blue Diablo roadster at the September 2010 edition of Houston Cars and Coffee. It is better looking than the scale model I had growing up. The Diablo is one of the best looking cars of the 1990s. I love its sleek design. Its a beautiful car. And it is as fast as it looks.
The Diablo came with a 5.7L V12 engine and a five-speed manual transmission. The GT and VT 6.0 variants came with a 6.0L V12. Power output for the Diablo ranged from 500 hp to 600 hp and torque ranged from 428 lb-ft to 471 lb-ft. The 6.0L V12 in the GT got 583 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. It took less than 4 seconds for the Diablo to go from 0 to 60 mph. The top speed for the Diablo is 207 mph. It is one of the fastest cars to come from the 1990s.
The Diablo SV has been featured on www.jaylenosgarage.com. You can drive this classic Lambo in Test Drive Unlimited, Forza Motorsport 3, Need For Speed games, Test Drive 3, Stunt Man, Saints Row, San Francisco Rush 2049, Project Gotham Racing 4, Grand Turismo games, Ridge Racer, and many other video games. To see the full list, check out IGCD.net.
Final Thoughts: I love this car. It is fast and I could stare at it for hours. I was glad someone brought it to Cars and Coffee. It is great to see one of my favorite cars from my childhood up close. It is one of the best cars to come out of the 90s. Lamborghini continued the trend of fast, beautiful cars with the Murcielago.

First Impression: Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
The Lamborghini Gallardo was introduced in 2003. It is the most produces Lamborghini to date, with over 10,000 Gallardos made. Lamborghini introduced the Gallardo LP560-4 in 2008. In 2010, Lamborghini wanted to inprove the performance of the Gallardo LP560-4. Some car makers, reduce the weight of a car, while other car makers add power to the engine. Lamborghini added 10 extra hp to a variant of the Gallardo LP560-4 while decreasing its weight by 220 lbs. This version is known as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera.
I first saw the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera at the October 2010 edition of Houston Cars and Coffee. When I first saw this car, it was yellow and still looked cool. I saw an orange Superleggera at the April 2011 edition of Houston Cars and Coffee and it was right next to a yellow Ferrari F360. I think it looks better in orange than yellow, but that is my opinion. It looks fast and has a beautiful exhaust noise. It is a great car.
The Superleggera is powered by a 5.2L V10 engine that is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. It gets 570 hp and 398.3 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reached a top speed of 202 mph. This is one fast car. Prices for the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera start at $244,295, that includes a $3,700 gas guzzler tax.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 is playable in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. It is available for both the police and the racers. Motorweek has reviewed the Superleggera. It was one of three Lamborghinis shown on the pilot episode of Top Gear USA. Adam Ferrara drove this car and reached 180 mph in the standing mile. It was featured in Top Gear Series 10, episode 1, where the guys were on a quest to find the greatest road in the world. Jeremy Clarkson drove the Superleggera.
Final Thoughts: It is a great car. If you get into one, hold on because this is a fast car. It is also one of the better looking supercars. Modern Lamborghinis are known for power, but they are also easy to handle. Top Gear showed an old lady, a little boy, and a dog driving a Lamborghini Gallardo to show how easy it is to drive.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, 2010
Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, 2010
The Lamborghini Murcilago is one of the most extraordinary super sports cars of all time. Automobili Lamborghini has now expanded its model range with a new, exceptionally purist and even more extreme top model - the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce is even more powerful, lighter and faster than the Murcilago LP640. With the output of the 6.5 liter V12 increased to 670 hp and a weight reduction of 100 kg (220 lbs), the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 2.3 kg (5.1 lbs) per hp. This catapults it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a breathtaking 3.2 seconds and powers it on to a top speed of around 342 km/h (212 mph). Distinctive design refinements ensure that each of this 350-unit limited edition series conveys its full potential from the very first glance.
With its outstanding performance, razor-sharp precision and exceptional high-speed stability, the Lamborghini Murcilago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the ultimate performance car for advanced sports car drivers. The super sports car has been extensively redesigned with a new front and rear, an innovative engine bonnet and a choice of two aerodynamic set-ups featuring either a small or large rear spoiler. The interior in Alcantara and carbon fiber provides a purist and minimalist approach.
In order to achieve the substantial weight reduction of 100 kilograms (220 lbs), the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce was extensively reworked and redeveloped in virtually every aspect - from chassis to engine and transmission, right through to the interior. The increase in engine output from 640 to 670 hp is the result of optimized valve timing and a reworked intake system. The significantly modified aerodynamics with substantially increased downforce brings considerable improvement to vehicle stability at very high speeds. With the small standard-fit rear spoiler, top speed stands at 342 km/h (212 mph), while the large "Aeropack Wing" and its added downforce gives a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph).
The design and aerodynamics
The Murcilago is an icon of the Lamborghini brand - a sports machine of menacing character and brutal power. Its unique design radiates a supreme form of highly concentrated sensuality. Wide, low, with its glass area pushed way forward and a long, taut back - the interplay between the soft contours of the basic form and razor sharp edges is the perfect expression of the Lamborghini design language. In the totality of its character, the Murcilago is without comparison on the sports car market.
Yet even a character like this can be further refined - the new Lamborghini Murcilago LP 670-4 SV is the more extreme, even more purist pinnacle of the model range. This is clearly evident from the very first glimpse of its completely redesigned front end - pulled way forward and finished in matt black paint, the carbon fiber front spoiler is connected to the front end via two vertical elements. The large air intakes for the front brakes are more powerfully emphasized. The new front fenders feature additional air intakes for brake ventilation. The air vent for the oil cooler located in the driver-side sill area is painted matt black to match the sills.
The modifications are even more apparent around the mighty engine bay of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. The twelve-cylinder engine is presented as an engineering masterpiece under a transparent engine bonnet that boasts a completely new architecture. Hexagonal polymer plates made from transparent polycarbonate are set on three levels within a carbon fiber framework. The layers are open towards the rear, playing a key role in the thermodynamics of the high-performance engine.
The impressive rear end of the SuperVeloce is dominated by a veritably noble, flat and extremely wide exhaust tailpipe and, on the underside, by a two-level diffuser system finished entirely in carbon fiber. The rear light clusters display their signals in that distinctive Y-shape that has been a fixed element of Lamborghini design since the Murcilago LP 640, Reventn and Gallardo LP560-4. The panel between the lights is made from carbon fiber, while the large intake mesh below expands across the full width of the rear end. Made from thick-walled aluminum, the hexagonal pattern is laser-cut and a Teflon coating provides the necessary heat protection.
The aerodynamics of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce have been completely redeveloped. Alongside the enlarged front spoiler and the twin rear diffuser, the new fixed rear spoiler also plays an important role. Customers can choose between two versions, with the small rear spoiler providing improved downforce at high speeds. As an option, the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SV can be supplied with the "Aeropack Wing" - a large, fixed, carbon-fiber wing mounted on two carbon-fiber brackets. The new aerodynamic set-up provides a significant boost to directional stability at the very highest speeds. The top speed downforce on the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce with Aeropack is strongly increased.
Bodyshell and lightweight construction
With the construction of the Murcilago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Lamborghini proves its expertise in the manufacture of lightweight materials and in working with hi-tech carbon fiber. The structure of the super sports car is a composite construction of extremely stiff carbon components and a tubular steel frame - as in a race car. The transmission tunnel and the floor are made of carbon fiber, attached to the steel frame using rivets and high-strength adhesives. The roof and the exterior door panels are formed in sheet steel, while the remainder of the outer skin is made from carbon composite material.
For the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, engineers in Sant'Agata Bolognese recalculated the framework and selected a new, super high-strength sectional steel. This achieved two objectives - on the one hand, they increased the torsional stiffness of the chassis by 12 percent to provide improved handling precision and, on the other, they were able to reduce weight by 20 kg (44 lbs), making a significant contribution to the reduction of overall vehicle weight. And the systematic approach to lightweight design continues throughout the entire bodyshell. The front fenders, the rear side panels/fenders and the casing for the third brake light are made of a modified carbon-fiber material. Combined with the removal of the drive for the moveable spoiler, this brings a further weight reduction of 13 kg (28.6 lbs).
Added to the 33 kg (72.6 lbs) of weight reduction from the chassis and exterior, are 34 kg (74.8 lbs) from the interior, as well as over 33 kg (72.6 lbs) removed from the engine and drive train.
Power unit and transmission
The longitudinally mounted 6.5 liter V12 delivers the infernal power for an unparalleled driving experience. With 670 hp (493 kW), the engine in the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce is 30 hp more powerful than in the Murcilago LP 640. The twelve-cylinder sends its mighty 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque to the crankshaft at 6,500 rpm; maximum power is reached at 8,000 rpm, with an average piston speed of 23.7 meters per second - a figure almost comparable to race engines.
The V12 is eager to deliver its performance - it brings its menacing power with immediacy and precision to guarantee breathtaking performance - after only 3.2 seconds the SuperVeloce has already reached 100 km/h (62 mph).
The engine block and heads of the V12, positioned at the ideal cylinder angle of 60 degrees, are made from aluminum. The four chain-driven camshafts are variably controlled, while the intake manifold operates in three stages - both technologies add even greater thrust to the merciless pushing power. To increase the performance of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SV, the intake system was modified, the valve train optimized and, most importantly, valve travel was increased.
The control electronics for the V12 were developed internally by Lamborghini - each cylinder bank has its own high-performance processor. If the engine needs more cooling air, intake funnels emerge from the rear pillars: when not in operation, they lie flush with the bodyshell. Dry sump lubrication enables the V12 to be mounted extremely low down, benefiting the handling dynamics: this also guarantees oil supply under extremely dynamic driving conditions. With 12 liters of lubricating oil in circulation, the oil cooler is located on the left side of the vehicle and cooled by air flowing through the aperture in the sill.
The weight reduction of more than 26 kg (57 lbs) in the engine area was derived primarily from the completely new exhaust system. The muffler has been redesigned and even the mighty tailpipe of the SuperVeloce manufactured from new materials is lighter than on the Murcilago LP 640. But most of all, the new exhaust system makes for an acoustic experience that is surely equal to the driving performance - from the heavy rumble of a stormy night, through the trumpeting of mighty elephants to the roar of a raging lion, the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce performs the grand opera for 12 cylinders, 48 valves and 8,000 revs.
The Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SV is equipped as standard with the sequential, automated manual transmission e.gear, which uses electro-hydraulics to shift gear extremely quickly and smoothly. A cockpit display informs the driver of the gear currently engaged. In addition a special "Corsa" mode and a "Low adherence" mode are available.
As a no-premium option, the SuperVeloce is available with a six-speed manual transmission. Its short metal shift stick runs in an open gate of classic Italian elegance. In both variants, the new lightweight clutch makes its own contribution to the weight loss program.
All-wheel drive and chassis
The Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce delivers its extreme power to the road with great reliability - assured by its permanent all-wheel drive. Before the rear wheels spin, the viscous coupling sends up to 35 percent of driving force via its additional shaft to the front wheels. The front and rear limited-slip differentials are set at 25 and 45 percent. With its four driven wheels and traction, the Murcilago delivers a decisive advantage over rear-wheel drive sports cars when it comes to accelerating out of a corner - and always with maximum stability. The rear axle bears 58 percent of its overall weight - a distribution ratio that is highly beneficial to traction.
Explosive dynamics, tenacious cornering and extreme speeds - the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce is a super sports car packed with aggressive power, but by no means a mean-spirited car. Its steering requires very little power support, giving full control of the car to the driver. Those prepared to tackle the beast head on are quickly rewarded with intimate contact and trust - as speed increases, so the Murcilago reveals its strengths, thus exposing a character with no hidden surprises and behavior that can always be anticipated.
The Murcilago is fitted with double wishbone suspension all round. Spring struts - two on each of the rear wheels and one on each of the front - control the loads transferred from the road. The standard-fit lifting system enables the front end of the vehicle to be raised by 45 mm (1.8 inches) to avoid obstacles such as garage entryways. The SuperVeloce is equipped with exclusive "Ares" alloy-forged wheels, bearing the exclusive five twin-spoke design. The front wheels are clad in 245/35 ZR 18 rubber, while the rears sport 335/30 ZR 18. High-grip Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires come as standard.
Four brakes controlled by a hi-tech ABS system are capable of mighty stopping power when required. The Carbon Ceramic (CCB) brakes are fanned by cooling air flowing through enlarged channels in the bodyshell, while openings in the front fenders provide additional ventilation for the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SV. The ceramic discs are exceptionally lightweight, fade-free and capable of extremely high operational performance.
The Interior and equipment
Even stepping into the Lamborghini Murcilago SV is an experience as individual as the vehicle itself. The upward-opening doors - a solution developed by Lamborghini in the early seventies for the Countach - are released via small latches, then swing wide open to reveal a panorama of the exclusive interior of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. The dominating materials are Alcantara and carbon fiber, which make for an ambience that is as high-quality as it is sporty.
The sports bucket seats come as standard and provide exceptionally firm support around the hip and shoulder areas. The bucket seats are made from lightweight and highly robust carbon fiber and guarantee the driver perfect support, even in the most extreme driving situations. The Murcilago's standard seats are also available on the SuperVeloce as an option free of charge.
Not only the seats are upholstered in black Alcantara micro-fiber; the cockpit and the roof lining are also finished in this high-quality, lightweight material. The Y-shaped perforations on the seats and roof lining bring additional finesse, with an inlaid backing material in the same color as the exterior paintwork. The Lamborghini Murcilago LP670-4 SuperVeloce can be delivered with the paint finishes Giallo Orion, Arancio Atlas, Bianco Isis, Grigio Telesto and Nero Aldebaran, as well as Bianco Canopus (white matt) and Nero Nemesis (black matt) as an option.
Naturally, the interior also makes its contribution to weight reduction. The door panels are clad in carbon fiber, as is the wide center tunnel. The application of Alcantara instead of leather is another weight-saver, just like the selection of sports bucket seats and the omission of the radio-navigation system (if requested, this is available as an option). At the end of the day, the music in a Murcilago comes from the engine compartment. Overall, modifications to the interior contribute over 34 kg (75 lbs) to the SuperVeloce weight loss program.
But absolutely no corners have been cut when it comes to one characteristic that is a feature of all Lamborghini super sports cars - the exceptionally high quality of the workmanship. The craftsmen in Sant'Agata Bolognese are all masters of their respective trades; the three-year warranty bears testimony to absolute faith in product quality.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster, 2010
The automobile Lamborghini has released the first photographs of a limited edition Lamborghini Murcilago LP650-4 Roadster.
The Roadster version of the Murcilago will offer an uprated 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 650 hp (478 kW) along with permanent four-wheel drive: hence the model's LP 650-4 moniker.
With 660 Nm of torque, top performance is at 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.4 seconds. The top speed is around 330 Km/h (205mph).
The special edition model will be produced in a limited volume (50 units only), with a Grigio Telesto exterior that combines grey bodywork with a special bright orange Arancio LP 650-4 featured on the front spoiler and sills. The LP 650-4 logo applied to the car's exterior is recognition of the car's increased power. The car features orange brake calipers and a transparent V12-engine cover, which shows off the V12 engine behind the driver.
The interior features echo the car's striking grey-and-orange exterior: besides the orange touches, there is an asymmetric dash design, with black Alcantara Nera on the driver's side, including door panel and central tunnel, and black leather Nero Perseus on the passenger's side.
The increased power of the Murcilago engine, from 640 to 650 hp, will be unique to the Lamborghini Murcilago LP650-4 Roadster: it demonstrates even further the developments that Lamborghini is able to offer from a current engine, and creates the exclusive characteristic of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP650-4 Roadster.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2, 2010
Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2, 2010
Automobili Lamborghini now presents a model in his honour and bearing his name - the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni.
The latest version of the Gallardo, Lamborghini's most successful model of all time - overall, more than 9,000 units of the model range have already been produced - boasts not only its own distinctive design and exclusive equipment, but its technology is unique too, as indicated by the model badge: the 550 stands for the power output in hp and the 2 is for rear wheel drive.
For several decades, Valentino Balboni has had a distinct influence on the character of the super sports car bearing the sign of the bull. With his fine-tuning and testing work, he has helped to shape many automotive legends, from the Lamborghini Miura of the 60s through to the current Lamborghini Gallardo and Lamborghini Murcilago models. Balboni was hired in 1967 by company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini himself. From early on, it was evident that the young Balboni had a special feel for cars, that most sensitive of all instincts that connects to the 'life blood' of an automobile and defines the soul of a test driver.
Limited to 250 units
After over 40 years with Lamborghini, Balboni is now officially retired. Yet, Valentino Balboni continues to travel to many countries around the world as an ambassador of the brand. The special exclusivity of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni is guaranteed - it is limited to 250 units.
The light-footed yet extremely safe
With this latest version of the Gallardo, Lamborghini is honouring its long-standing test driver in a very special way. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni was conceived in line with his own thinking, and it meets many customers' requests for a model with a unique character, which offers a very special kind of active driving fun. The Balboni model is the only current Lamborghini that delivers its power to the road via its rear wheels alone.
The rear wheel drive has a special appeal to those sports car drivers who enjoy a particular driving style. Thanks to the eminently powerful V10 driveline, controlled oversteer is no problem - naturally always to the extent defined by the driver - because refined road manners and perfectly tuned assistance systems mean that the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni is an exceptionally safe sports car to drive.
Driving fun with unique character
In order to shape this unique character that combines driving fun and safety, the engineers at Sant'Agata Bolognese have incorporated extensive modifications into the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni. It was not simply a question of moving the transmission to the rear axle, the vehicle had to be adjusted and tuned in every element of its driving dynamics. This includes springs, dampers, stabilisers and even the tyres. The aerodynamics were also adjusted to take account of the change to the power flow.
The rear axle differential, with a 45 percent limited slip, was also redeveloped, as was the calibration of the e-gear transmission. One significant point was the adjustments made to the ESP system. While the standard program is focused on high stability, the CORSA program permits greater drift angles, thus enabling drivers to enjoy the dynamics of the LP550-2 to their full extent.
The outstanding performance is guaranteed
The adjustments have also been made to the very heart of the Lamborghini Gallardo, the 5.2 litre ten-cylinder: the perfect synthesis of hi-revving pleasure, pulling power, a constantly exuberant temperament and a powerful symphony played in all keys. In the Valentino Balboni, the compact and lightweight power unit generates 405 kW (550 hp). At a dry weight of only 1,380 kilograms, this guarantees outstanding performance: the LP550-2 is catapulted from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62mph) in a breathtaking 3.9 seconds, while the top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) guarantees its place among the ultimate in super sports cars.
The powerful elegance in its distinctive design
The Valentino Balboni is not only unique in terms of its technology: its design and equipment reinforce its exclusivity. Its classic sporting character is emphasised by a colour strip in white and gold running from the front panel over the roof and parts of the engine cover all the way to the rear spoiler, with inspiration from the classic sports cars from the '70s. This colour treatment underscores the powerful elegance of the Lamborghini Gallardo and emphasises the unique Lamborghini design DNA. The Special Edition is available in eight colours, from Bianco Monocerus through to Verde Ithaca, or Arancio Borealis to Nero Noctis. The Scorpius wheels retain their dark grey finish, while the brake callipers come in black, orange or yellow, depending on the exterior paint finish.
The Classic sporting look for the interior.
The characteristic colour combination is repeated in the interior. The basic colour of the full leather upholstery is black. Both seats, however, feature the colour strip in white. The centre console is completely upholstered in Polar white leather to create a powerful accent. A badge below the left side window bears the signature of Valentino Balboni and the production number of the car.
The exclusivity of the Valentino Balboni is augmented further by its extensive equipment. Alongside several new leather features in the interior, there is also the transparent engine cover, the rear view camera, the navigation system with Bluetooth and the lifting system for the front axle that makes it easier to drive over obstacles. In addition to the extensive standard equipment, a list of further options is available including e-gear transmission and carbon ceramic brakes.

2012 Lamborghini Reventon Review
2012 Lamborghini Murcielago design based on the outgoing model. 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce shown here.
On the technical side of the 2012 Lamborghini Murcielago V12 regain power, but it is unclear if the engine is new or changed from the current four-cam, 48-valve 6.5-liter. In both cases, the updates should be involved in direct injection (to replace the multi-indirect), more accurate variable valve timing, intake and less restrictive exhaust plumbing, and perhaps even the function of stand- by stop-eye on the European Union, less CO2 emissions, reducing the force in 2011. Various sources estimate is 650-680 horses, compared with 661 U.S. and 632 of the LP640 Murcilago SV.
A total of 2012 Lamborghini Murcielago forms of building another car over-the-top super designed to confession too much is never enough. Wretched excess, especially in a recession? Maybe. Impractical? Without a doubt. (Trunk Space, one thing must remain in the absence literal.) But in the automotive world would be a much duller place without the charismatic car like this, so we can enjoy the ride when we can. In addition, a few Lambos do not have a big impact on reserves of fossil fuels to global warming.

Classic Car: Lamborghini Countach
The history of Lamborghinin is quite fascinating. Ferruccio Lamborghini originally built tractors. He owned several Ferraris. He found out that the clutches were inferior. He confronted Enzo Ferrari about the problems with his cars. Enzo told Ferruccio, "How dare a tractor maker tell me how to make a sports car." Infuriated, Ferruccio Lamborghini created his own brand of sports cars. His first car was the 350GT, a front engine, rear-wheel drive grand tourer. One of the more famous Lambos is the Countach, built from 1974 to 1990. 2,042 Countaches were made.
I first saw the Countach at the 2010 Houston Classic Chassis. First thought was "What a piece of art. This is one of the best looking classic cars I have ever seen." The Countach has made several appearances at Houston Cars and Coffee.
The Lamborghini Countach came in four specs, with a 25 anniversary edition. The Countach LP400 came 4.0L V12 that produced 370 hp, 266 lb-ft torque, and went from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 sec, with a top speed of 177 mph. The Countach LP400S came 4.0L V12 that produced 370 hp, 266 lb-ft torque, and went from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 sec, with a top speed of 182 mph. The Countach LP500S came 5.0L V12 that produced 370 hp, 302 lb-ft torque, and went from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 sec, with a top speed of 181 mph. The Countach LP500SQV came 5.2L V12 that produced 449 hp, 369 lb-ft torque, and went from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 sec, with a top speed of 182 mph. This is a fast car, no matter what engine is in it. The body may look like it has great aerodynamics, but its body is like a brick moving through air.
The Lamborghini Countach has been featured at Jay Leno's Garage. It has been featured in many racing games, including Burnout Paradise, Project Gotham Racing 4, Grand Turismo 5, and Forza Motorsport 3, adn Test Drive Unlimited. It was part of a DLC package for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. Red Alert from Transformers G1 used the Countach as his vehicle mode. The boys of Top Gear used the Countach as one of its exhibits when they took over an art museum in Great Britain.
Final Thought: What a work of art. It is a great looking car. It is fast and a great addition to any classic car collection. One can see the Countach design in the Lamborghini Diablo and Murcielago.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Tuning By DMC
New ship Lamborghini bearing the name of the bull has been attached since the first - naturally, the specimens are especially brave of the world from the Spanish corrida. Aventador is bull raised by the family of Don Celestino Cuardi vides that in October 1993 entered into battle in the arena of Saragossa, earning the Trofeo de la Pea La Madroera "for the remarkable courage displayed during a fight
Well, it did not take long to do it now? Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador have not even a month old and the German tuner, DMC Design, has scooped one and add their own touches to create a supercar even more spectacular than the existing one.
The first tuning package for Aventador called "Gargiulo" and exterior modifications, including some further tweaks the outside of the supercar. For starters, Carbon Fiber rear wing has been added that take design inspiration from a mixture of Elemento Sesto and LP670 models. New wing to have a glossy or matte surface color. DMC also offers a new front lip, spoiler angles, and side skirts add more than one aggressive appearance to the vehicle. Of course, it's kind of like adding more water into the sea, but we still like the overall results of their additions.
Now, because Aventador Lamborghini has brought 6.5-liter V12 engine with AWD layout that produces 700 HP at 8250 rpm and 509 lb-ft at 5500 rpm, the DMC feel little need to return something under the hood. Apparently, they think top speed of 217 mph is more than enough as well.
Probably not really need tuning Aventador package to make it more beautiful than that already exist, but we just do not more of the DMC-happy by doing something like making a crazy paint scheme adds exterior and add a spoiler excessive and appalling. Hey, we've seen it happen in a Lamborghini before. jau-carmodification.blogspot.com

SPESIFIKASI Lamborghini Hadirkan Gallardo yang Lebih Ringan
SPESIFIKASI Lamborghini Hadirkan Gallardo yang Lebih Ringan
It seems that the sports car segment with the roof open more attractive, thus making some major manufacturers vying to take part as a car with such a type of roof.
After introducing the VW EOS Convertible, Chevrolet with its Camaro, now turn the Italian exotic car maker, Lamborghini makes versions of the open roof of the Gallardo model.
The automaker, based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy is finally melrilis their latest exotic cars, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante.
This new car is actually made based on the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, but this time a Gallardo Spyder Performante created specifically by the engineers may have a Lamborghini for the lighter weight. When in fact LP560-4 Spyder is quite mild.
While several other car makers avoid the effort, because it thinks that the cut off weight of the vehicle is something that is impossible.
Precisely manufacturer bull logo was what was considered impossible to prove, proven, Gallardo Spyder cars performante managed to reduce the car's weight to 65 kg, compared to its predecessor. So now the total weight of the car is only 1485 kg.
The redesigned four-wheel-drive system, an improved suspension design, and optimized aerodynamics all contribute an improved driving experience. A weight reduction of 44 lbs and decreased friction between the components also enhance performance.
The Gallardo LP 560-4 fulfills the not yet obligatory European pedestrian safety regulations, without compromising the look of the car.
The automated e-gear transmission has been completely redesigned for the LP 560-4. Gear change time reduced by 40 percent, and the driver may choose between five different driving and changing programs. The most performance-oriented "CORSA" setting not only affects shift speed -- it also directs the engine for maximum acceleration. The 'Thrust Mode' ensures maximum acceleration from neutral while the angle of the throttle valve and the clutch are optimized.
An optional carbon-ceramic-disc braking system makes use of eight-piston Brembo calipers up front, and four-piston calipers at he rear. Rotor size is 14.4 inches at the front and 14 inches at the rear.
Lamborghini said, that weight reduction was achieved thanks to the use of some components of carbon fiber throughout the car. As in the console and door panels that surround the transmission lever.
The same material used to frame racing seat design, which is then wrapped in Alcantara leather. So the new Gallardo is crowned as the lightest car of the range of other products in the sports segment with an open roof.
For sources of power, this car uses a capacity of 5200 cc V10 engine, which can generate power to 570 hp. Lamborghini claims, an increase of 10 hp compared to older models, because in addition to lighter weight, the car uses a new engine management system.
So this supercar capable of doing a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds and when the gas pedal and hold trampled, then the car can reach a top speed of up to 324 km / h

SPESIFIKASI Mobil Lamborghini | Siapkan Supercar Empat Pintu

Super car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini SpA is planning for a revolution. If they had been known only to produce a car-door sports car two kinds Murchielago or Gallardo, potfolio soon they will grow.
Lamborghini because it intends to make four-door sedan, just like any other sedan cars.
"(Besides Murchielago and Gallardo) The third model will be very good. A four-door car will be a very reasonable approach," said Chief Executive Officer of Lamborghini Stephan Winkelmann like detikOto quotation from Autonews, Tuesday (17/08/2010).
Developing this four-door sedan to answer the challenge even as producers of other super cars such as Maserati and Aston Martin which has been previously issued a Maserati Quattroporte four-door sedan and Aston Martin Lagonda Rapide.
"I'll definitely be excited to see the Lamborghini sedan, which will become something entirely new," said Dieter Niederfriniger, a lover who has a Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago SuperVeloce.
Lamborghini, until now, never produced a sedan. Italian producers 40 years ago this was never built a four-door car but the newfangled cpupe called Espada. But this car was stopped production in 1978.
Winkelmann also showed a sedan called the Estoque on the year 2008. But until recently the concept has not been built at all.
By utilizing technology, carbon fiber construction makes this supercar weighs only 999 kg.
Kitchen pacunya using V10, 5200 cc, together with mechanical heart Superleggera Lamborghini LP 570-4. This engine produces 562 hp power with top speed of 350 kpj. Acceleration 0-100 to within 2.5 seconds.
Lamborghini claims as the first company to develop the technology of carbon-fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) which have been shown in Sesto Elemento Concept.
Lambo four-door if it really happen, it will be made with a lightweight construction. This is because Lamborghini has plans to make the car faster by increasing the strength and weight reduction. Lamborghini is focused on the development of carbon fiber to achieve this.
The new model that will enter exclusive sedan segment inhabited by this means will compete with cars like the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin RAPIDE and Maserati Quattroporte.
CRFP mastery combined with 3D design simulation, validation and testing of products in very high quality standards.
The structure of carbon fiber monocoque include not only cells but extends to the front frame structure, exterior panels and crash boxes. Elsewhere, the carbon fiber used in suspension components and wheels.
When Lamborghini managed to make four-door sedan, most analysts say this Lamborghini will be able to compete with the Panamera, built by Porsche AG, which is now merged with Volkswagen.

In front of the car, there is a lumpberkonfigurasi V10 engine 570 HP.
Machines with the capacity and power of it, of course it's easy to make the Gallardo accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Amazingly, it only takes 6.8 seconds rambahan time to reach speeds of 124 mph. Top speed of a car that weighs 1340 kilograms itself can be achieved at 199 mph or 320 km / hour.
Blancpain itself is the oldest luxury watchmaker in the world, and one of the best brands worldwide.Blancpain recently selected as "Best of the Best" among brands of the most beautiful in the world by Luxury Institute in New York.
