    There are things bigger than visa date movement. This is one of them !

    Though the death of this SOB is not going to bring back lost ones or cure wounds.

    It does serve as a long awaited closure, though not in full but at least in part.

    Prince, Not everything that happens in this world has to be around visa date movements. But I feel your pain. There are times when you should broaden your grief zone beyond your personal circle.

    When you do that, you would know how insolent is the question you posed as a reply.

    Thanks for the replies. I was suggested with an alternative option as below.

    "Transfer H1 to F1 , get CPT and work for my same employer till labor and 140 gets approved. Once the approval is done, renew the H1 and transfer back to H1 from F1."

    So please let me know if this is valid status transition.

    I Have Some Problems In I-140. Mine Is 3yrs Bach+1yr Diploma Degree, Professional Job As Analyst, Eb3 Category. I Am From Maryland So Vsc Is Center. My Lawyer Called Me That File Is Ready To Go But Vsc, Tsc And Csc Are Not Excepting Any I-140 Now, They Has To Be File At Nsc. But Nsc Is Very Strict And They Are Denying For 3yrsbach Degree In Professional Job. So I Don't Know What To Do? Any Ideas? Any One Like Mine Case? Please Let Me Know.

    Evaluate your education credentials with good evaluator and pray to god.. NSC is strict on professional degree issue.

    the read and green is based on other members' scoring on your posts. The core group or moderators dont sit around and give red or green squares to anyone. They are coming from your peers, not from admin/moderators or core. If you get into an argument or fight with 10-15 people, you are likely to earn red squares real quick. Its your approval rating done by others, not by admin/moderators.

    And besides, why would anyone care of you get red squares. It just means others disapprove of your posts. It doesnt mean that you are wrong.     I don't think there was any such stipulation. As far as I know, employee-employer agreements not confirming to the new law became void after the new law came into effect.

    Logically new law makes sense. Employer has a need; they advertise. No one but a foreigner applies. Employers want to hire the applicant. This is all for/by the employer. Why should emploee pay for this? Once I-140 is approved, employee and his/her family apply by I-485, EAD, AP etc., which of course are employees applications, and he/she pays for them.

    I have heard that an employer cannot hold Green Card fees over an employee. I also believe if anything, the fees owing should drop according to the length of time that the employee has worked for that employer.

    The employer cannot ask you to pay for any part of the PERM process. You can't reimburse, pay directly, get a deduction from salary, or repay in any way. Apart from the PERM, you can pay for the rest.

    The broader question as to whether such a reimbursement agreement is enforceable depends on your state's employee and contract laws.

    GM which is one of the biggest recepient of bail out money is going to export chinese cars to US market!! I am perfectly fine with that. Kudos to chinese car manufacterors. Now here is the problem...
    1) companies which recieved TARP fund cannot hire H1bs!!!! but now it seems they can go and get work done elsewhere and then ship the product here??
    2) Which is better for the economy?
    a- skilled workers moving to the US and reviving the manufactoring base and this might involve reducing wages of course.
    or
    b- prevent skilled worker migration and instead import products from outside which will be effective on the short run due to the present capacity for borrowing heavily??

    Consider these facts while answering;
    but how long can you borrow?? dont you need to produce something here, in the US?? skilled worker reduces the wages? isnt that good to be competitive??

    Is AAA life keeping the premium quoted to you? I saw yoru post and happened to recieve some flyer from AAA about life insurance. So I called and got a quote, and passed the physical. Now the agent called back saying the underwriter increased my premium because of my status (not a GC holder). The new premium is almost doubled the original quote. Thanks.

    I am in my 8th year H-1B visa and just last week got my life insurance policy from AAA Life with super-preferred rate. AAA just asked me a photocopy my H-1B approval notice.

    FYI, As someone earlier posted, you cannot beat the IVians in bulletins. Even before the sep bulletin went live on the website, people posted the bulletin info... People called the number of DOS and knew the dates beforehand. It seems the info obtained through phone preceeds the bulletin posted on the website...:p
